Tackling crime and disorder is the responsibility of Hampshire Constabulary. The county's police force has 20 neighbourhood teams across Hart and Rushmoor. Budget and strategy is set by the police and crime commissioner. Criminal cases are heard at magistrates' courts in Aldershot and Basingstoke, or at the crown court in Winchester.
