Relocation celebrated by call centre
29/ 5/2008
A call centre has relocated its 55-strong team from Aldershot to Fleet.
RocketUK has finally landed in a new base above McCarthy Holden in Fleet Road.
Its new home, which had been empty for more than three years, has a total area of 8,250 sq ft.
Some Fleet residents may already be familiar with RocketUK as in February the company handed over a new van to the Fleet-based Lions Community Store.
Thanks to the generosity of RocketUK and other local businesses who donated a second van between them, the Lions Community Store can continue its work collecting essential household items and delivering them to the elderly, deprived and disabled in the area.
Rocket managing director Mike Relf is delighted with the relocation.
He said: “We have big plans for the coming year.
“We want to double the size of our call centre, plus we’re opening a new recruitment division called Rocket Select which will see even more job openings.”
Mr Relf’s confidence is well founded as RocketUK is a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winner and a finalist in the 2007 National Outsourcing Association Awards.
RocketUK’s clients have included Cadbury, Hewden, Multiyork, The Bradford Group, Polaris and Virgin Media.
The next 12 months will also see RocketUK launch a brand new Call Centre Software Package developed by its own in-house development and research team.
“This is a product that could put RocketUK on the map,” said Mr Relf.
