Elmbridge community news

  • THE Elmbridge Museum team is inviting children and their parents to find out more about the work of the Hepworth Studios with an event entitled ‘Little Hollywood’ on Saturday March 3 from 2pm to 4.30pm at Weybridge Library Hall, Church Street, Weybridge. There’s a chance to create your own moving images and make a movie clapperboard. Children must be accompanied by an adult and a fee of £1.50 per child applies.
  • A JUMBLE sale organised by Elmbridge Mencap will take place at Burview Hall, Queens Road, Hersham, on Sunday March 4 between 11am and 1pm. Anyone with unwanted saleable items should ring Jean on 01932 225747. Entry is 50p.

  • THE Rose Trio, winners of the Royal Overseas League Competition in 2010, will play at Holy Trinity Church in Church Road, Claygate tomorrow (Saturday) at 8pm.
    Tickets cost £13 each and are free for anyone under the age of 26.
  • ENJOY an evening of traditional and contemporary folk music at the Old Cranleighan Club in Portsmouth Road, Thames Ditton, tonight (Friday).
    Suntrap, a four-piece band, will play at the club from 8.30pm, tickets cost £8 for members and £9 for non-members.
