Simon Day explains what a fool believes

SIMON Day visits The Forge, at the Anvil Theatre, Basingstoke, with his new solo show What A Fool Believes on Thursday, October 30, at 8pm.

He first started in stand-up in 1990, winning the Time Out New Act of the Year Award in 1991.

He rose to prominence in The Fast Show, also touring extensively performing his many characters.

TV credits include Red Dwarf, Heartbeat, Jonathan Creek, Sensitive Skin, Love Soup and Driving School. Film credits include Shakespeare In Love in which he played a ferryman on the River Thames.

What A Fool Believes will be Day's first solo stand-up tour, with no wigs, hats or comedy glasses.

He will attempt to explain what it is like to be a clown, hero, genius, loser and true artist in one show – don’t miss it.
