Comedy magicians Barry and Stuart get spooky
June 29, 2011
THE Scottish BAFTA nominated stars of BBC1’s The Magicians, Barry and Stuart, bring their critically acclaimed and distinct brand of astonishing, gruesome and hugely funny illusions to the West End Centre, Aldershot, on Saturday July 2 at 8pm, with their amazing new tour show.
With several TV shows under their belts including Dirty Tricks and Derren Brown: 3D Magic Spectacular, Barry and Stuart debuted their live show Part Time Warlocks” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and were an instant smash-hit with critics and audiences alike.
They have returned every year since, garnering countless five-star reviews and playing to totally sold out houses every night.
Following their hit show Powered by Demons in 2009, they were awarded Best Comedy Illusionists at the World Magic Awards, and were flown to Las Vegas to perform in a one off show seen by millions on US television.
This is a rare chance to see Barry and Stuart doing what they do best, performing dazzling acts of unbelievable dupery live on stage.
On this spectacular tour this miraculous pair will delve into the dark world of ghosts and even attempt to cast a voodoo trance over a random member of the audience. The mystical duo will show you where you should never stick a polo mint, let you in on the secret behind the world’s coolest party trick (if you’re brave enough to try it) and demonstrate how to impress a first date with the use of a razor sharp needle. You will marvel at their creative use of technology, big stage trickery and sharp pointy things.
Tickets cost £13 or £11 and are available from the ox office on 01252 408041 or www.wegottickets.com. Visit www.hants.gov.uk/westendcentre for details.
