Child prodigy Shane Thomas comes to the Riverhouse
May 30, 2012
Child prodigy, Shane Thomas will be performing at the Riverhouse, Walton on Thames, on Sunday June 17 at 3pm.
Aged 12, he is a child with extraordinary piano talents. He sat at a piano aged seven and somewhat miraculously, played recognisable tunes with both hands. Shane skipped grades one to seven and passed grade eight with distinction aged 10. It took just five months of having lessons for him to accomplish this.
However, he possesses even greater talent as a composer.
Shane has never sat at a piano to compose music, he dreams up entire scores in his head and can instantly play them.
Professor Stephen Rhys from the Royal Academy of Music and Nicolas Chisholm at the Yehudi Menuhin Music School, have both stated in writing, that they have never met another person like Shane before.
His proposed repertoire at the Riverhouse includes works by Chopin, Grieg, Debussy and Beethoven as well as two compositions by Shane himself – Fire and Water, and The First Waltz.
There is no charge to see the concert but you should let the box office know you are coming by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01932 253354. There will be a retiring collection at the end of the concert for Shane and for Riverhouse.
