Our Lost Infantry find Aldershot

December 06, 2012

Fresh from releasing their debut album, Aldershot-based band Our Lost Infantry perform a gig in their hometown at the West End Centre on Saturday December 14.

The quartet formed by Thom Ashworth on vocals and guitar, Joe Ashworth on bass and vocals, Michael Parking on drums and vocals and Matt Phelps on keys and vocals. Their music has been described as post-rock, progressive and pop gone awry.

Recently signed to Deep Elm Records they have just release their stunning nine-track debut The New Art History worldwide and to be showcased at their gig in at the Westy.

In addition, a video for the single All The Streetlights Of My Hometown was also released last month.

“The band’s grand scheme was to create a near 40-minute piece of music made up of nine linked, perfectly flowing parts... in essence creating the world’s first post-rock opera.

“It has strong leanings towards post-rock with layered vocals, gutsy riffs and fearless choruses.

“We are immensely honoured that Our Lost Infantry chose to work with Deep Elm Records” said label founder John Szuch.
