A special Elvis infused night in Woking

January 02, 2013

None other than The King opens this year's season at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking.

The ultimate, award-winning tribute artist, Lee Memphis King dons his blue suede shoes and brings his show, One Night with Elvis, for one night only on Saturday January 12, at 7.30pm.

The show celebrates the entire career of this musical legend, Elvis Presley, taking the audience from the 1950s rock ‘n’ roll heyday to his ’68 comeback special and culminating with his Vegas years.

Touring the show for over 10 years Lee Memphis King is accompanied by amazing backing singers and orchestra as well as a large screen projection, making it the biggest Elvis Presley tribute show to tour UK theatres.

Headlining and selling out some of the most prestigious venues across UK and Europe, Lee’s love of Elvis began at an early age – after watching Elvis films Roustabout.

As a child he imitated his voice and as he grew older strived to perfect not only his voice but the excitement and passion that Elvis had every time he performed. Lee Memphis King said: “To me Elvis was the greatest performer and vocalist of the last century and I constantly strive for perfection when I perform his songs.”

Lee has received a number of accolades including the prestigious ‘Best professional Elvis tribute in the world’ at the 2005 Collinwood Festival as well as being a finalist of World’s Greatest Elvis.

He not only stars but produces and directs the show, and as a true fan of this iconic legend, Lee celebrates him with respect and talent, leaving any fan feeling like they have spent one night with Elvis.
