Take a ride to see Theme Park at Boileroom
January 30, 2013
Coinciding with the imminent release of their first full length album later this month, the three-piece band from London, Theme Park, headline at the Boileroom, Guildford, on February 8.
Theme Park are one of the most exciting new songwriting forces in our midst today, managing to attain that rare balance of feeling comfortingly familiar and yet not sounding like anyone else.
Formed by twin brothers Miles and Marcus Haughton a year ago a productive and successful 2012 saw the band releasing a series of singles and touring extensively which gained them a wealth of fans and supporters in the lead up to the full album.
Their eponymous debut album produced by Luke Smith, behind Foals and The Maccabees, will be released via Transgressive Records on February 25.
A week prior to this, on February 18, they will release new single Tonight on 7” vinyl and download. This track, unlike Luke Smith’s work on the rest of the album, has been given a dusting of disco-tinged magic via the production skills of Friendly Fires frontman Ed Macfarlane.
March 14 will see Theme Park step up a gear once more on the live front when they headline London’s Heaven club. This follows a series of sold out shows in the latter half of 2012 at Birthdays, Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and finally Electrowerkz in December.
Support at the Boileroom comes from Aldershot-based band Our Lost Infantry.
Tickets are £8 in advance and £9 on the door and are available at www.theboileroom.net.
