CAMBERLEY'S X Factor star Josh Cuthbert has landed a record deal with his Union J bandmates.
The group announced they had signed up with RCA Records, which represents the likes of R Kelly, Usher and Pink.
Originally from Winkfield, Josh went to Charters School in Ascot before moving to Camberley and working for an IT hardware telesales company in Godalming.
The 20-year-old's mother, Kathryn Browne, said: “I am so proud. It is all still exciting – I believe it is a three-album deal.
“It is weird to see posters of Josh in teen magazines and see articles about how ‘fit’ Josh is," she added.
Union J narrowly missed out on the final of last year’s ITV talent contest, but are now performing in the X Factor live tour and have recorded their first single to be released some time between April and June.
A band statement said: “Hopefully 2013 will be an amazing year for us and we cannot wait for everyone to hear our music.”
And Josh's mother added: “We will be seeing him on tour next week and we just can’t wait to hear the new single.”
