Be a success in the art of theatre

18/ 7/2008

THIS year the Camberley Theatre will be running a week-long performing arts summer school.

Workshops will offer young people aged eight to 16 the chance to learn new skills in singing, dancing and acting.

Led by performing arts professionals, they will concentrate on teaching the students the essential skills needed to be successful.

Dance tutor Stuart Sweeting has performed in West End musicals and has choreographed extensively for theatre and television.

Singing tutor Michael Roets has worked as a musical director and regularly performs as a singer in his home country of South Africa.

Drama tutor Ed Simpson has directed at The Globe, the National Theatre and in London's West End.

This exciting and challenging week will culminate in a performance showcase on the theatre main stage to friends and family. No previous experience is necessary.

Places cost £120 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01276 707600.
