Two of the best young comedians in the country continue the West End Centre’s impressive comedy season, as Andrew Lawrence and Katherine Ryan bring their hit Edinburgh Fringe shows to Aldershot.
Tonight (Friday), Andrew Lawrence Is Coming To Get You showcases a comedian destined for greatness.
Fresh from his excellent BBC Radio 4 series How Did We End Up Like This?, Lawrence’s uncompromising style will provide another evening of top-class stand-up comedy.
Appearances on BBC 1’s Live at the Apollo and Channel 4’s Stand Up For The Week followed nominations for the Edinburgh Comedy Award and Best UK Headline Act at the Chortle Awards.
His 50-date tour last year was sold out, and now Lawrence’s irresistible comedic rage is set to win him many more new fans in 2013.
Despite looking whiter than white, Katherine Ryan unleashes her wonderfully acidic wit in Nature’s Candy, on Saturday February 2.
Having experienced motherhood, divorce and MTV, the Canadian proves that the things in life which make us bitter can actually be quite delicious and hilarious.
Likened to a young Joan Rivers and set to be one of the stars of 2013, Ryan is blessed with a casually compelling stage presence that lulls audiences into a false sense of security. She has recently appeared on Mock The Week, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Dave’s One Night Stand and in Ricky Gervais’ Episodes.
