Poppy Appeal collection boxes were stolen in Fleet

Police have charged a man following the theft of two Poppy Appeal collection boxes in Fleet.

The collection boxes were stolen from McDonald's restaurant and the Shell petrol station, both in Fleet Road, on Tuesday October 29.

Leonard Dicker, 36, from Pinkerton Road in Basingstoke has been charged with two offences of theft.

He has been bailed to appear at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on January 16.
