Call for new workers

UP to 50 new jobs are being created in Aldershot with the opening of a car rental telephone support centre.

American-based Enterprise Rent-A-Car is looking to recruit workers for its new call centre in Birchett Road (pictured), which opened in December.

The company began in 1994 and now has 180 branches across the United Kingdom, employing some 1,500 people.

The Aldershot call centre will make it easier for customers to report problems with rented cars and quiz a team of trained staff.

Sales director Eric Hopp said: "We have seen a 400 per cent increase in business enquiries since the launch of Enterprise in the UK six years ago.

"A purpose-built call centre is the perfect solution for our customers' requirements."

The call centre will also house six German speakers, who have been recruited to service German insurance companies.

Mr Hopp added: "Altogether the call centre is a promising development and demonstrates our overriding desire to satisfy our customers' needs."
