Charters wins rental dealer award

PEUGEOT dealership Charters of Aldershot is celebrating after being voted New Rental Dealer of the Year 2001.

The award is given to the dealer who opens the most successful rental department.

Charters opened its rental department in August last year, and it has been so successful that Peugeot has upgraded it to Key City Dealer status.

Beryl Huse (pictured left), rental manager at Charters, said: "We were delighted to be awarded the Rental Dealer of the Year Award.

"The overwhelming success of the department has been down to the combination of the stylish, reliable and practical vehicles in the Peugeot range as well as the convenient location of the dealership by the railway and bus station."

The current economic climate has meant many dealerships have been reluctant to expand their operations into this area, but Charters' initial success has led to the dealership increasing its fleet of rental vehicles to 50.
