Founded in 2000 by former carpet fitter Lee Biggins as a response to his futile job search, CV-Library was created to benefit both job-hunters and recruiters.
Today the company dominates the job board industry.
With a candidate database of more than 9.3 million CVs, it easily dwarves the offerings from its main competitors.
The business now works with more than 10,000 recruiters to offer over 125,000 jobs across a variety of sectors.
It also boasts 3.5 million unique monthly users and has developed sister company Resume-Library, which was launched last year in the United States.
From starting off in bedroom offices and counting on friends and family to help with marketing, CV-Library is now housed in two offices on Fleet’s Waterfront Business Park and has 125 employees.
But the job board is no stranger to awards, having racked up more than 50 impressive accolades in the last 15 years.
It was even the winner of Inspire’s Business of the Year award in 2012.
Managing director Mr Biggins said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be nominated for this award.
“It’s extremely touching to be recognised as a local business.
“When I look back to CV-Library’s beginnings, I never dreamed that it would be the success that it is now.
“It really has exceeded all expectations.
“Having said that, the company could not thrive without the team working behind it.
“Our talented and driven staff are what keeps the company running, and we are constantly working to take it to new heights.
“We will continue to innovate the recruitment journey, and we are excited to see what the future will bring.”
