Pupils get help to buy books

Estate agent pledges support for new primary school

ROMANS have kick-started a fund to buy library books for the new primary school at the Elvetham Heath development in Fleet.

The school, which is being built over the next two years, already has 60 pupils and a small but thriving parent teacher association.

Romans have given £100 towards the PTA's target of £2,000 for the library fund and pledged to publicise further fundraisers and help with stationary and printing costs.

Headteacher Jean Leigh said: "We are very please to have Romans help us. They are a high profile name in the area and are genuinely keen to help us achieve our target to stock the school library."

Elvetham Heath Primary School is currently housed in temporary buildings but will be in a £2.5million state-of-the-art building within two years.

If you have any fundraising ideas, please contact Graham Ferguson-Bell of Romans on 01252 360801 or Mrs Leigh via the school on 01252 622205.
