Aldershot retailers have donated over 80 prizes toward the Aldershot town centre Christmas prize draw.
Gifts donated by shops and businesses throughout the town centre include: a Christmas hamper from Marks & Spencer; Ethel & Eddie - a pair of teddy bears to commemorate the "Centenary of the Teddy Bear" from Inspirations; crystal glasses, footballs, a tennis racquet, video's, DVD's, make-up kits, a huge Crayola set, cuddly toys, chocolates, dolls, miniature cars - the list goes on and on.
"The generosity of Aldershot's retailers is simply fantastic," said Aldershot's Town CentreManager, Jennifer Rawlings. "They really come into their own when they choose to support events in Aldershot and this Christmas is no exception."
She added: "Never before have we had so many prizes given to us and the Christmas draw is free to enter. All people have to do is complete the entry form within the Aldershot Christmas Festival programme. Copies are available from many of the shops in town. Then put your completed form into the letter boxes provided near the escalators in both The Galleries and The Wellington Shopping Centres."
The draw will take place on Saturday, November 30, straight after the town centre Christmas lights are switched on at 4pm in Union Street. So long as they are in the crowd, the first four names called out will win the cash prizes of £100, £75, £50 and £25.
The 80 prize winners will be notified by the Aldershot Town Centre Management team, Lynne McNally and Jennifer Rawlings, and arrangements made for winners to collect their prizes.
Miss Rawlings added that she was "over the moon" with the support given by so many and wants to let everyone know who was able to support the town centre Christmas Festival in Aldershot this year.
"In addition to the prizes, many other businesses also gave money to help fund the Christmas lights, festival programme and everything that makes Aldershot a great place to be this Christmas," she said.
