Hart Male Voice Choir has raised over £1000 for the Katherine Appeal.
The choir's chairman, Eamonn O'Rourke, is pictured handing over the cheque to Katherine's dad Nigel, who has now joined the ranks of the choir in the top tenor section.
Nigel wiped a tear from his eye when musical director Valerie Hoppe dedicated "You'll Never Walk Alone" to Katherine and her family to reflect the support of the choir and audience.
The money was raised in the Mayor of Rushmoor's gala charity concert at the Salesian College in Farnborough when an audience of nearly 200 took to the aisles clapping and dancing to the strains of "Salute Africa", a medley of African music specially arranged for the choir. Katherine won the fight against leukaemia as a baby, but now suffers from uncontrolled epilepsy and needs pioneering neurosurgery to give her a future.
The choir's next concert is in St Peter's Church, Farnborough, on April 13. Then on May 10 they join the Band of the Parachute Regiment in a concert in St Andrew's Garrison Church of Scotland in Queens Avenue, Aldershot.
