Motorcyclist who died in Aldershot crash is named by police

Police said Mark Lowson, a 36-year-old man from Maidenhead, had been riding from the Pine Ridge Golf Club in Frimley to Aldershot when the crash happened

A motorcyclist who died in a crash in Aldershot at the weekend has been named by police.

Mark Lowson, who was aged 36 and from Maidenhead, was riding his Yamaha bike at around 8.20pm on Sunday (July 13) when the accident happened.

He was travelling in Wellington Avenue from the Wellington roundabout towards the Willems roundabout.

Mr Lowson was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicle was involved.

Officers investigating the cause of the crash would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw the motorbike being ridden in the 15 minutes beforehand.

Hampshire Constabulary said Mr Lowson was riding from Pine Ridge Golf Club in Frimley to an address in Aldershot when the crash happened.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roads Policing Team at Whitchurch Police Station on 101.
