BAFFLED motorists found themselves in queues along Farnborough Road, Farnborough, this week as contractors coned off and dug up the bus lanes opposite Rushmoor Council - for the second time.
The latest setback came when Hampshire experts spotted that the pink bus lanes were already showing signs of turning black. According to a Hampshire spokeswoman, they found that the material used, called Worthycin, had not penetrated to the required depth.
She said that the contractors were paying for it to be dug up and replaced by another material known as Hardicrete and there would be no extra cost to the public. Meanwhile, traffic chugged up the hill in rush hour at 11 mph.
