BRITISH Telecom has completed its move from Telecom House - Aldershot's biggest town centre office block.
A lengthy run-down period ended last week when the final 200 employees left the seven-storey Alexandra Road building.
They are now working at the telephone exchange building in Ordnance Road which has been refurbished at a cost of £3-million.
A BT spokesman said on Monday: "Telecom House has been underused for some time, and it made sense to move the remaining staff to the telephone exchange."
He said improvements to the exchange, built in the 1960s, included better lighting, air conditioning and communication links. Accommodated on three floors, the newly arrived staff are involved with sales, administration and engineering work.
A question mark hangs over the future of Telecom House which now stands empty.
