AFTER hearing a Bracknell Forest official outline the borough's plans for leisure development, a woman in the audience at the Sandhurst town meeting last Monday asked what was being done to get a Sunday bus service between Sandhurst and Bracknell.

"There is no hope of getting to events at South Hill Park," she told Mr Vincent Paliczka, Director of Leisure Services.

Mr Paliczka said it cost £95,000 just to divert a bus route but many people had said they could not attend events because of the transport system. The council was going to take a close look at transport.

The director had revealed that a survey of local people had shown that many felt there was a poor community spirit.
