A FIREMAN was taken to hospital while tackling a shed blaze in Vale Road, Camberley, on Monday night.

He suffered a badly lacerated finger during the incident which was sparked by an electrical fault in a freezer.

The fire, which wrecked the wooden shed, spread to the roof of the adjoining shop. A family sleeping in the flat above escaped unhurt.

Firefighters from Camberley spent 90 minutes bringing the blaze under control.
