CHEERS! Mrs Louisa Hind toasted her 107th birthday on Monday with her daily large glass of neat brandy!
Mrs Hind has lived in the Knellwood home in Canterbury Road, Farnborough, since she was 100. Matron Mrs Janet Gover told the Star: "She is absolutely no trouble just as long as she gets her glass of brandy every night. She walks with a frame into the dining room three times a day."
Mrs Hind is a former publican and she was born in Hartley Wintney. She married her late husband George in the year that the Titanic sank and they were together for more than 70 years. Her daughter Mrs Florence Knight, her son (also George), two granddaughters and four great grandchildren all still live in this area.
