FARNBOROUGH'S Prince of Wales has won the local branch of the Campaign for Real Ale's award for Hampshire Pub of the Year. The Rectory Road pub, which has won the award before, boasts an impressive range of beers with five regulars complemented by up to five guest beers. The award was presented to landlord Peter Moore on Thursday and this also saw the start of CAMRA's mild month. The Prince of Wales will be selling a range of different mild beers throughout May. Kevin Travers, for CAMRA, said: "The Prince of Wales is my local. It's an excellent pub and has won through against stiff competition."
