HUNDREDS of youngsters and adults enjoyed a five-day Tent Event at the recreation ground in Basingbourne Road, Church Crookham.

The event kicked off last Wednesday with a jazz night featuring the Hot Rhythm Trio.

There was also a youth disco with the band Alive and Kicking on Thursday evening.

During the day, there were a variety of activities for children aged from five to 13, including a special double-decker bus with computer games.

In the evening a professional coach organised football training, mini-games and tournaments.

On Thursday and Friday there was afternoon tea, as well as entertainment for the over 50s.

The five-day extravaganza finished on Sunday with a celebration service in the morning, followed by a ploughman's lunch.

The event was organised by Churches Together in Fleet and Church Crookham and supported by Hart Council.

Mark Reilly, who helped to organise the extravaganza, said he was delighted with its success and was hopeful another event would be planned next year.
