There was great excitement at Marlborough Infants' School in Aldershot last Thursday when a new classroom arrived on lorries.

The prefab room was delivered in six sections throughout the day and was lifted into place by a crane.

It will be home to the reception class of four and five year olds.

The classroom it replaces was found to be in a dangerous condition when it was inspected last October. The inspector condemned it and ordered it to be closed immediately.

For the last three months the children have been housed in the main building.

The new room will be ready for the children in mid-February after half term.
