THE ‘Happy Circus' came to Hatch Ride Primary School in Crowthorne at the Bank Holiday weekend for an afternoon of clowning around.
More than 300 children attended the circus, which was organised by the school's PTA to go towards school funds and was the replacement for the school's summer fayre.
A big top was the main attraction, with gymnasts, clowns and a bendy-lady entertaining the crowds.
Mrs Katy Simmonds, PTA secretary and organiser, said: "We heard about the Happy Circus from one of our committee members and thought it would be a good idea to have the circus at the school.
"It really was a brilliant day and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was lovely, which made it all the more enjoyable."
The day boasted a balloon race at the end of the afternoon, a candy floss stand and ice-cream stall and raised more than £600 from ticket sales, the bar and barbeque.
Eithn Fowler, a teacher at the school, said it was a very funny event and the bendy-lady "did all sorts of things that I can't describe".
Mrs Simmonds added that the school hopes to have the circus again in a couple of years.
