Crondall home 'destroyed' by lightning strike

Two dogs had to be rescued from a property in Crondall after it was struck by lightning

A house in Crondall saw its roof completely destroyed after it was hit by a bolt of lightning on Friday July 25.

An officer from Farnham fire station said: "The roof was completely destroyed and the subsequent fire led to all ceilings collapsing into the property.

"There wasn't much left.

"No one was hurt however officers had to enter the home to rescue two dogs."

Crews from Fleet, Odiham and Farnham fire stations attended the blaze yesterday afternoon.
