Two adventurous friends are spending their holiday cycling 1000 miles in aid of cancer research.

Nigel Smith, who lives at Coxheath Road, Church Crookham, and his friend Jim Sanders from Birmingham started from Land's End at the tip of Cornwall on Sunday.

They hope to reach John O' Groats in northeast Scotland next Wednesday, Aug 14.

Nigel went to Calthorpe Park School and Farnborough Sixth Form College and graduated from the University of Glamorgan two years ago with an LL.B Law degree. Jim is finishing his Masters of Engineering degree this year. Both are aged 23.
