Police have named the driver who died following a two-vehicle crash on a country road.

William Gilham was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened in Blackbushes Road, Fleet, on Tuesday January 14.

The 77-year-old was driving a green Vauxhall Astra towards Elvetham Heath when it was in a collision with a white Renault flatbed van, before hitting a tree just after 3pm.

Mr Gilham, who lived in Woodley near Reading, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

No-one else was injured.

Police are continuing their investigation into the crash and are appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw either vehicle driving before it happened.
