POLICE want to speak to a driver who disappeared after an accident in which a Farnborough cyclist was injured.

The cyclist was riding along Hawley Lane, Hawley, at 7.20am on November 30 when he was in collision with a red Peugeot 205 which pulled out of Fernhill Lane.

Witnesses told police that the car stopped further down the road and the driver appeared to use his mobile phone.

He drove off once ambulance staff had left the scene, but before police arrived.

The 42-year-old cyclist was taken to Frimley Park Hospital suffering from a fractured hip.

Police are appealing for the Peugeot driver to contact them. He was wearing a blazer with gold buttons which was possibly part of a uniform.

He should telephone Farnborough traffic unit on 0845 045 45 45.
