A group of nurses stopped at the accident to provide assistance
A five-car pile-up caused major congestion on the A331 on the morning of Wednesday September 25.
The incident occurred at around 8.15am and involved a red Mini Countryman, a white van, a blue BMW 1 Series, a red Volkswagen Golf and a silver Peugeot 207.
The driver of the Peugeot was taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution but there were no other injuries. All the vehicles were cleared by 10.30am.
A minibus carrying a group of military nurses stopped at the scene and the nurses provided assistance until ambulances and police officers arrived.
Farnborough resident Simon Taylor, who was driving the car at the front of the pile-up, said all the cars had suffered extensive damage and most were likely to be written off, but he described the nurses as 'marvellous'.
"It goes to show that our forces are concerned not just for our security, but our well-being and deserve our support at all times," he said.
