A GROUP of Rushmoor parents is battling to save a play scheme for children with special needs.

They have launched a fund raising campaign because lottery money, which helped launch the scheme two years ago, has almost dried up. Borough councillors have been told there is £7,000 in the kitty, which is sufficient to run the project for four weeks during the summer school holidays. But after that the scheme, which caters for about 58 handicapped children aged four to 12, will fold if more money isn't found.
