It was an afternoon of tears and joy as parents watched their children ‘graduate’ from their first school.
Ancells Farm Community Pre-School in Fleet celebrated the end of term with nine children who were moving up to infant school in September.
Last Thursday, the children donned in gown and hat, stood excited waiting for their name to be called to receive their certificate and balloon, looked on by proud parents, relatives and friends.
Sue Way, pre-school supervisor, said: “We ended the ceremony by the children releasing the balloons.
“Each balloon had a child’s name and message to track whose balloon travelled the furthest. Information on balloons found will be on our Facebook, Twitter and our website.
“We are so proud of all their achievements throughout the last two years and the progress they have made, they have become confident, independent young people and we wish them all the best in their new journey through their school life.”
The pre-school in Falkners Close is accepting enrolment for September and has places available for children aged two to four-years-old.
