ALDERSHOT MP Gerald Howarth proves he is no slouch as an "artist with light" with this stunning shot of the control tower at Farnborough airfield, taken from inside the tower.
It won him a £100 prize in the first competitive section of the parliamentary photographic exhibition sponsored by Jessops, the photographic shop chain.
The entries from MPs had to be taken in their own constituencies and a former Daily Mirror chief photographer judged them. Gerald intends to give the cash to charity.
Said the MP: "I am delighted for two reasons. It is satisfying to feel that one's efforts are appreciated in a field other than politics, and this is the centenary of flight with Farnborough being the birthplace of flying in this country."
