People tried their hand at funfair rides and bungee running, while young visitors made a beeline for the bouncy castle.

One of the highlights was a colourful display by the Bracknell Drum Majorettes, and there was plenty more colour on view as youngsters had their faces painted.

Richard Fisker, chairman of the May Fair committee, said: "The day went very well and we were very grateful that the rain stopped.

"I would like to thank all those who came and supported the fair — all the funds raised will be going to various charities which are supported by St John's Church, which organises the fair."
