Frimley Park Hospital take part in Bond-themed fundraiser

A night of fun, food and frolics was had by nearly 400 staff, friends and family at a Christmas party in aid of the Frimley Park Breast Care Appeal.

The ‘To Russia with Love’ themed evening on December 19 saw some guests really getting into character by dressing up ‘Bond-style’.

During a reception and three-course dinner, staff were entertained by aerialists and Cossack dancers. Some junior doctors and consultants were even persuaded to demonstrate their Russian dancing skills.

After dinner, the casino’s gaming tables opened, along with the dodgems which brought out some very competitive ‘driving’. And the disco kept people partying until 1am. Dementia nurse specialist Ablen Dacalos said: “We had two tables and really enjoyed it. It was great to see everyone outside of work all dressed up and the food and entertainment was really very good.”

The evening raised more than £8,400 for the appeal. Assistant fundraising manager Nick Le Resche said: “We have already set our sights on another ‘differently-themed’ event in 2014 and have some great new ideas to make it even bigger and better – so watch this space.”
