COVE Brook Greenway Group, which works to protect and improve the brook's environment, is meeting on Tuesday, May 27, at 7.30pm at Blunden Hall, Blunden Road, Cove.
A talk entitled Farnborough Past will be given by local author Jo Gosney. Many readers have read Jo's books, which bring together photographs and facts about the town in days gone by and remind residents how Farnborough has changed. The talk should prove of interest to all residents .
After the talk comes the annual meeting, where all present will be encouraged to give their views on the society and even volunteer their assistance in future activities.
The group is always on the outlook for new ideas and "new blood", especially at present when members are reviewing their future activities and the way ahead.
The society is open to all, not just Cove residents, and will continue to provide, besides conservation activities, nature rambles and talks on local subjects. "We trust our activities should be of interest to all of those who have a leaning towards conservation and an interest in the environment," said a spokesman.
