GRAHAME Jelbart has bowed out with no fewer than four farewell events to mark his ten years at the helm as Hart's Chief Executive.

At his final full council meeting he was presented with a silver plated replica of the district's stag symbol and a framed painting by local artist Paul Banning showing Queens Meadow, Ewshot, where he walks his dog.

At a second presentation from his colleagues, Acting Chief Executive Chris James praised his role while Mr Jelbart replied: "It won't be the job but the people that I remember." There was also a lunch in his honour organised by fellow chief executives and an evening reception for Hart community representatives.
