YOUNGSTERS at West End Infant School showed parents what fun science can be at a special evening organised by teachers.
Pupils aged four to seven demonstrated their scientific knowledge with activities about different materials, forces and electrical circuits.
Chris Jenkin, headteacher of the York Road school, said: “Lots of parents came back and were really enthusiastic about the evening, and the children were just so proud of all the things they could do.
“It was really good because parents could see all the practical things the children do, for which there is no form of recording but where it is the experience that matters.
“It was a huge success. The staff had put in a lot of time organising this for the children, whose brothers and sisters also came, and it was a delightful evening.
“The secret to any learning is enjoyment and enthusiasm and the children certainly had that. We will definitely do it again.”
