A MASSIVE hunt has been launched after a man dragged a woman into her home, cut off huge clumps of her hair and stole cash and jewellery.
The horrific incident took place at 9.15am on Thursday when the Indian woman, who cannot speak English, was returning to the house in Fire Stone Close, Fleet, where she works as a nanny.
As she opened the front door the man overpowered her, dragged her inside and shut the door.
He dragged her around the whole house in a search for valuables, and cruelly chopped off her hair with a pair of scissors that he had on him, before making off with the jewellery and cash worth £3,500.
The haul of jewellery comprised six solid gold 22-carat bangles, two gold chains with pendants and two gold chains without pendants.
Det Con John Gilliland, of Aldershot CID, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the woman involved. It was even worse for her as she does not speak any English.
"The man dragged her around the whole house and kept hold of her throughout. She is understandably in a great deal of shock.
"Clearly this man needs to be caught, and if anyone in the area between 9.15am and 9.40am saw anything that can help us we need to speak to him or her urgently.
"Anyone who knows anything at all, whether they overheard something in a pub or have been offered the chance to buy some jewellery, then again, please call us."
The white man, whose photofit is pictured, is between 40 and 45 years old and muscular, with dark brown hair that is grey around the edges.
He has a small goatee beard and was wearing a light blue short-sleeved shirt and blue jogging bottoms.
