Image released after teenager punched in 'unprovoked attack'

Police ask anyone with information on last month's assault to get in touch

Hampshire Constabulary would like to speak to this man

A CCTV image has been released of a man police would like to speak to after a 17-year-old was punched in what is thought to be an unprovoked attack.

The teenager was punched in the face just before 2am on Sunday February 9 at McDonald's in Farnborough Gate retail park.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: "A 17-year-old man was punched in his face by a man not known to him, in what police believe was an unprovoked attack.

"The offender is described as white, 6ft tall, in his late 20’s/early 30’s, with short, light brown hair, balding at the back, and had a tribal-type tattoo on his left forearm. He was wearing blue jeans, brown shoes and a chequered blue and white patterned short-sleeved shirt."

Anyone with information on the assault or who recognises the man is asked to call PC Cattrell at Aldershot police station on 101.
