A new book has gone on sale featuring over 200 rare images of Aldershot's military past.
Compiled from the photographic collections of the Aldershot Military Museum, it is written and compiled by the museum's curator, Ian Maine. Many of the pictures have never before been published.
Among subjects featured are the development of buildings in the military town including early photographs of construction in 1856, up to the redevelopment of the 1960s.
The book is not just for military buffs; anyone who knows the area will find something to interest them. It is available for £10.99 from local bookshops as well as the museum's own shop in Queens Avenue, Aldershot (open 10-5 daily).
