CHURCH Crookham Junior School's Golden Jubilee Fair on Saturday was opened by local ‘royalty' - this year's Fleet Carnival Princess Charlotte Keen (left) and deputy Yasmin Scares.

The fair was designed with a Fifties feel and stallholders wore fashion styles from that time. There was a jive demonstration as well as traditional activities such as a coconut shy and pony rides.

The carnival itself opens on Tuesday July 9 with bingo and the grand procession will be on Saturday July 13 starting at 6.30pm and featuring three bands. The following day the traditional Children's Procession starts at 12.30pm and this is followed by a family fun day. This includes a classic, custom bike and trike rally and a motor show.
