PLAYTIME has taken on a new lease of life for children of Poppins Pre-School since the opening of its new playground.
Rushmoor councillor Nigel Baines opened the £2,500 facility on June 26.
Over the last four years staff and parents have held numerous fundraising events to turn the over-grown jungle behind their building in Queen's Road, North Camp, into the new play area.
Poppins supervisor Sharon Lucas said: "It's been a joint effort between the parents and the staff and the children, because they did all the planting of the flowers.
"It's heaven. It enables us to have our own playground. We have use of the local field, but it's nice to have a safe, secure and clean space for the children."
Mrs Lucas said the new garden was so impressive they would be entering it into this year's Rushmoor in Bloom competition.
Cllr Baines said parents and staff had raised £2,000 for the project with the rest coming from a Rushmoor Council grant.
He added: "They've done a great job. It's a great piece of community work."
