TALENTED footballers will soon have a first-class opportunity to kick-start their careers with Aldershot Football Club.
Those with exceptional ability will receive individual coaching as members of a new young player development scheme.
The Ryman League club is confident the project will unearth a wealth of untapped talent.
Local businesses and supporters are being asked to help fund the scheme, with a target of £6000.
The money will be used to ensure the players, aged 17 to 22, are not out of pocket when attending two full-time training days a week.
Manager Terry Brown is spearheading the scheme which will help young players make the jump into senior football.
The fund raising effort has been launched by the website ShotsWeb.
Spokesman Tony Sharp said: "By taking the best of the young, talented players, and developing them further, the club is at last capable of producing some of its own first-team players."
He believed the investment in young players would also boost the club's coffers, with some attracting transfer fees later in their careers.
