Man charged with assault after police search

A man who was the subject of a hunt by police has been found and charged with assault.

Hampshire Constabulary said on Thursday that Terry Bolton, 33, from Sandy Lane in Hartley Wintney, had been found after a search lasting several days.

Members of the public were asked to come forward with any information on his whereabouts.

He appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Thursday and is next due at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on April 24.

He has been remanded in custody in the meantime.
