Man injured in Fleet crash remains in hospital in stable condition

A young man injured in a car crash in Fleet at the weekend remains in hospital.

The man, aged in his 20s, was seriously injured when his car crashed into a tree on Saturday evening (May 10).

Speaking to Get Hampshire on Tuesday, a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said the man was due to undergo surgery and his condition had since been described as stable.

The casualty was airlifted to St George's Hospital in Tooting following the crash in Minley Road with serious arm injuries.

Emergency services attended the incident at around 6.30pm after reports a car had crashed into a tree.

Firefighters from Yateley and Hartney Wintney were called to the scene and helped remove the man from the car, a blue Audi 80, before three ambulance crews took over.
